Children enter foster/adoptive families with many needs. Some are evident early; others surface in the course of later development. Dr. Wilson will present a trauma-informed perspective to understand behavioral concerns that commonly arise in the school-age years. During this conference, she will exploring the impact of early adversity on brain/behavior, expressions of grief/loss within adoption, and ways for families to promote healing relationships. Resources will be provided to support families understand common behavioral concerns and respond in a trauma-informed manner.

Certificates of Attendance (4 hours) will be provided.
