On the Table MKE, Thursday, October 10, Parenting to Promote Racial Justice

You are invited to a very special afternoon of lunch, fellowship, and conversation.

The Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s On the Table MKE is a region-wide forum offering a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and take action–individually and collectively–to improve the quality of life in our community.

The Coalition for Children, Youth & Families will be hosting a discussion focusing on parenting to promote racial justice. When white parents decide to foster or adopt children of color they are doing more than just parenting transracially. They are simultaneously deciding to join the fight towards racial justice. Our table will focus on how foster and adoptive parents can support their children of color as they learn to navigate the world.

Thursday, October 10, 2019, 11:30 am-1pm
